The consonant for this column is M, so all five members of this group will be M
followed by one of the five vowels, in order.
- ま [MA]
- み [MI]
- む [MU]
- め [ME]
- も [MO]
This is another straightforward group, like K and N.
How to Write
For reference, here is a quick review of the general rules for stroke order:
- All characters should fill a square of about the same size
- Top to bottom, left to right
- Horizontal strokes before vertical strokes that intersect them
Be aware that め [ME], like ぬ [NU], starts with the vertical stroke on the left. Also, も [MO] bucks the last rule and starts with its vertical stroke before doing the two crossing strokes.
